Hankook Tire Showcases SmartFlex Tire, Other New Products at MATS
LOUISVILLE, Ky.– Hankook Tire showcased its new truck and bus radial [TBR] tire offering, the SmartFlex AH35, at the Mid-America Trucking Show [MATS], the largest heavy truck show in the world. The SmartFlex is the latest in a series of offerings aimed at helping truck and bus drivers achieve higher mileage and superior traction.
Hankook also showcased its AL21 and TL21 tires at MATS, providing information and an interactive exhibit for customers and event attendees interested in the company’s state-of-the-art products.
“Our TBR customers are passionate about maximizing efficiency while keeping costs low,” said Hankook America TBR Marketing General Manager J.H. Moon. “The SmartFlex and the other tires in our TBR arsenal help them accomplish those goals while keeping their drivers safe, and we enjoyed showcasing them to MATS attendees this week.”
The SmartFlex AH35 is a new all-season road tire designed for variable road conditions. Its special tread design and multi-3-dimensional sipes give drivers high mileage and enhanced traction. Its optimized carcass structure leads to a smoother ride and better handling, and the improved bead profile allows for superior retreadability.
The e3 Max AL21 [all-position] and TL21 [trailer-position] tires are long-haul offerings designed to provide longer mileage by decreasing uneven wear. The AL21’s optimized lateral kerf provides better traction and prevents tearing and cracking.
Smooth lines at the edge of the grooves provide optimal footprint to help the TL21 increase fuel efficiency. A side decoupling groove is designed to resist irregular wear, improve durability and promote stability for better performance.
All three products are available on Hankook Tire’s website and can be accessed at http://www.hankooktire.com/us/truck-bus/tires/all-tires.html.
