Hankook Tire exclusively supplies to BMW Driving center for eight consecutive years

Global leading tire company Hankook Tire will continue to supply tires for all test-driving vehicles at BMW Driving Center operated by the German luxury automaker BMW until the end of 2022.

Since the opening of the BMW Driving Center in August 2014, Hankook has been an exclusive tire supplier for the test-driving vehicles. The announced 1-year contract extension will have Hankook’s products be equipped to all vehicles used for test driving on track as well as other programs at BMW Driving Center for the eighth year in a row.

A total of seven threads are being supplied to the BMW Driving Center including the Ventus RS-4 from the Ventus Racing category optimized for circuit driving, as well as the ultra-high performance tires Ventus S1 evo3 and Ventus S1 evo3 SUV from the Ventus Premium Sport line-up. Its premium winter tire, Winter i*cept evo3 is also on the list. Hankook plans to provide tires for all-electric models as well in the near future.

The partnership with the German luxury automaker started in 2011 with Hankook Tire supplying its original equipment tire for the MINI. The relationship continued as Hankook tires are equipped to the BMW’s flagship models ex-works including 1,2,3,4 and 5 series, as well as X1, X2, and X5 SUV models. Furthering its long-standing partnership with BMW, Hankook was also selected to supply the all-new BMW 7 series in 2016, and the high-performance X3 M, X4 M in 2021.

Hankook aims to provide the best driving experience to those who visit the BMW Driving center with its advanced tire technology accumulated through its expansive OE portfolio.

The BMW Driving Center covers 291,802 square meters and is equipped with a 2.6-kilometer driving track, with which it has been presenting a new driving culture. The Center offers professional racing experiences not only for car enthusiasts but also for anyone who enjoys dynamics and speed. By February 2022, the number of cumulative visitors to the center surpassed 1.17 million, making it a prominent complex cultural space for driving in Korea.
